How to Prepare For Your First Appointment
Thank you for booking an appointment with us! We’re excited to partner with you on your care journey. Here are some tips to make the most out of your first visit.
New Patient Onboarding
Prior to booking an appointment with besa Health, you should have completed the Patient onboarding through the besa Health Patient app. To know more about this, please view the Consents & Intake article. If you have already completed everything, there is no need for further action unless your provider asks something of you. If not, please be sure to prepare for you first appointment by following the information listed below.
Confirm Your Personal Information
Ensure all of your information is completed and up to date in the app. These steps include verifying your ID and uploading your health insurance details, if you have any. Double-check that your contact information and preferences, such as your address and preferred pharmacy, are correct.
What to Have Handy
While there’s no further preparation required to attend your appointment, it’s a good idea to have quick access to the following items, as your provider might ask for them:
-
Previous medical records, including your most recent annual wellness exam or “AWE” (this is sometimes called an annual physical exam or annual preventative visit).
-
A complete list of any medications you take, along with instructions and dosages.
-
A list of any allergies you have including medications or ingredients.
-
The names and contact information of your previous doctor(s) and their offices or clinics.
If you already have these items available and would like to share them in advance of your appointment, you can upload them directly through the besa Health Patient app.
